Call of Duty meets magic and action: Immortals of Aveum is trying to fill the MCU cinema void this summer

The upcoming game Immortals of Aveum is attempting to fill the void left by the absence of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies this summer. The game is being published by EA Originals and has a big-budget look and feel that is reminiscent of a summer blockbuster. The high-stakes story takes place in a world where people have been fighting for control of magic for thousands of years, and you play as Jak, a talented spellcaster who can wield all three colors of magic. The action-packed game is said to have impressive scope and scale to the levels, with a lot of variety packed into each area to make each fight feel different. The game boasts incredible visuals with vibrant, shattering particles that fill the screen. However, there are concerns that the controls may be too complex, especially for gamers with colorblindness. Immortals of Aveum is due to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on July 20, 2023.
