The 2021 NBA Playoffs continue on Memorial Day with an intriguing doubleheader. The action begins at 7 p.m. ET when the No. 1 Philadelphia 76ers square off with the No. 8 Washington Wizards. The Sixers will be looking to cap off the sweep and join the Milwaukee Bucks as the next team to advance on the Eastern Conference portion of the NBA Playoff bracket.
Philadelphia has left little doubts about its ability to be a title contender this year after obliterating Washington across three straight games. The top-seeded squad has won each matchup by at least seven points and boasts an average margin of victory of 27 points over the last two contests. The undermanned Wizards—relying heavily on their backcourt of Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal—simply haven’t been able to contain the Sixers’ jumbo-sized star trio of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris.
Will Washington find a way to stave off elimination and notch at least one victory before exiting the 2021 NBA Playoffs, or will the 76ers mercifully finish off an opponent they have on the ropes? We’ll know for sure later this evening, but for now read on for some picks and predictions on how the game will play out.

76ers at Wizards Betting Overview
Game 4 Odds
Spread: PHI -8.5
The 76ers are receiving overwhelmingly large amounts of public support in Game 4. The team has generated a whopping 92% of all bets made against the spread. This is major factor in why the line has shifted a full point since opening at PHI -7.5, although there has been some buyback on the underdog Wizards at the current number.
While Washington is only garnering 8% of the total tickets, sharps are capitalizing on value and hammering the home side, with the team responsible for 41% of the cash bet against the spread.
Total: Over/Under 230 points
Bettors are by and large expecting Game 4 to be a high-scoring affair. The public has hammered this total, as 74% of tickets and 90% of the handle are coming in on the over. Despite this action, the line has dropped down a point from its opening mark, indicating there are still plenty of sharps playing the under.
Moneyline: PHI -350, WAS +280
Going into the 2021 NBA Playoffs, there were few who thought the Wizards had a chance to pull off an upset in the first round. Now that they are down 0-3 in the series, almost no one believes they have a chance to even win a single game.
The moneyline is a clear indication of this, as Washington has drawn a paltry 17% of moneyline bets and a mere 2% of the cash wagered for Game 4. A small fraction of the public is praying for a big payout with a Wizards upset—which would return $2.80 for each $1 wagered—but realistic bettors are either staying away or laying $3.50 to win $1 with the 76ers.
Game 4 Picks: WAS +8.5
Game 4 Prediction: PHI 117 – WAS 110
The 76ers are overwhelmingly favored to close out this series after building what is basically an insurmountable lead heading into Game 4. Bookmakers have taken this series off the board, but did leave up odds for each team to win both the conference and NBA Finals.
Philadelphia is currently one of the favorites in the East, having the third-best odds to reach the NBA Finals at +260. The Sixers are getting +700 odds of navigating through the entire 2021 NBA Playoff bracket unscathed, a line that puts them behind five other teams to capture the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
Washington has the longest odds on the board of accomplishing either feat, with shops installing them as a +25000 underdog for both an Eastern Conference crown and an NBA Finals championship.
Eastern Conference Odds: 76ers +260, Wizards +25000
NBA Finals Odds: 76ers +700, Wizards +25000
Series Prediction: 76ers in four games.
